Save on Your Copayment — Ask for Generic Lipitor®

The generically equivalent version of Lipitor® (Atorvastatin) has been approved by the FDA and is now available. To save on your copayment, tell your pharmacist you want to switch from brand name Lipitor® to its equally safe and effective generic version. If you need a new prescription for generic Lipitor®, call your doctor’s office and have them call the prescription in to the pharmacy you designate.

If you don’t have insurance, our prescription discount card will save you some money. A prescription of Atorvastatin currently (2/2/2012) has a 24% savings, but this discount is expected to increase over time as the market shortage begins to dissipate.

Another option is to ask your doctor about the current generic of Zocor called Simvastatin that has a 91% discount. It’s much cheaper and works just as well for the majority of people. Use our drug price lookup tool for more information.
